make a difference

How we are funded

STRIVE 2 THRIVE is registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

We do not receive any funding and rely on donations and corporate sponsorships to enable us to run our programs which make such a difference in so many cancer affected lives.

Strive2Thrive does not have any administration costs and every cent generously donated or received through sponsorships is used solely in the running of our 12 week programs.

Each program we run costs over $7,000.

It's very important to us that we don't charge the participants any fee as we recognise that their cancer journey has already often been a significant financial burden.

You can help raise awareness of Strive 2 Thrive and also help us continue to make this free-of-charge program available to all struggling cancer survivors by organizing a local event or fundraiser in support of our program.

Your participation through fundraising will not only aid in the promotion, longevity, support and continued delivery of our program, but is also representative of your personal opportunity to give families and individuals a second chance in life.

If you plan on hosting your own fundraiser, you can make it as big or small as you like, you can hold it independently, or you might like to organise a function through your work social club, your sporting or community club, or even a community or family and friends event.

Alternatively, you might be interested in corporate sponsorship or support.  If so,  we'd love to hear from you.

Movie Night
Trivia Night

An excuse to dress up and party!

Perhaps a dinner dance, or social evening at and involving your local sporting club.

Something for everyone!

Contact your local bowls club and ask for their support.

Everyone loves a movie night!

Hold it at your local community centre  or hall and charge admission.

Or consider partnering with a local movie theatre to split proceeds.

Lots of people already pay for trivia nights at bars and restaurants, so why not run one yourself.

Book a venue and charge an admission fee that covers drinks and nibbles as well.

Download our fundraising guide (below) for details on raising funds for Strive 2 Thrive.

Once you have read our fundraising guide, you will need to complete a Proposal to Fundraise form (below) which will tell us about the fundraising activity you plan to undertake.

There are legal requirements in Australia that govern how fundraisers can raise funds for charitable purposes and this Proposal to Fundraise form also contains information about your obligations when fundraising for Strive 2 Thrive.   You will need to read through these obligations carefully before signing the form and returning it to us.

Once you have held your fundraising activity, we may need you to complete and forward a couple of additional forms so we can meet our financial reporting obligations.
