We've been saying it for years .... role of exercise after cancer is key to recovery and improving quality of life. Now COSA, the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia, has published its position statement validating what we know to be true.

COSA calls for -

  • Exercise to be embedded as part of standard practice in cancer care.

  • Exercise to be viewed as an adjunct therapy that helps counteract the adverse effects of cancer and its treatment.

  • Best practice cancer care to include referral to an accredited exercise physiologist and/or physiotherapist with experience in cancer care.
